Near Carl Carey's Fishing Place: Spring flowers drape the bank of Bank Street and the mighty Cumberland River seen through the gumbo/slingshot tree trunk, and even from this diminishing perspective, one can see that, as Maxey Oakes said, "The Cumberland River is a big river." Sorry, Ray Hutchison, Jimmy Firquin, Billy Ballou, and even the late Dr. Billy K. Neat, you erred in disputing Mr. Oakes' assessment. It is a big river.
