Scenic Taylor Co., KY: Beautiful old barn

2017-03-26 - Top of the upside down Triangle, Taylor Co., KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com photo(c).
A destination sight for Old Barn Lovers. Can't say exactly where it was, just how the photo came about: An overly ambitious plan to drive the main-est roads which would traverse the northernmost reaches of Taylor County, using a travel map obtained at the repository of almost anything Taylor County, the Taylor County Public Library. However, it turned out to be above our pay grade and time frame. We estimated the distance at 25-30 curvy miles, so maybe eight hours. But it was harder than we thought, and occasionally we found ourselves in LaRue County, and eventually saw a familiar highway to Saloma, and left the bucket list trek Travel Across the top of Taylor County for another day, and counted it a Good Day if for just spotting this barn, Mill Creek with its fabulous random beds of Daffodils, and the vistas along the way. - EW
