Russell Co. Lady Lakers in 1st State Tournament since 1993

The Russell County Lady Lakers defeated Monroe County 54-51 on Sunday afternoon, March 5, 2017, to advance to their first Sweet Sixteen since 1993! The Lady Lakers will face Franklin County High School, in the first round of state tournament action on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at 12:30pmCT/1:30pmET, at Northern Kentucky University, BB&T Arena, 500 Louie B Nunn Dr, Newport, KY 41099. Above One one knee: Sophie Shearer.
