Adair County Clerk Lisa Greer conferred with Wendy Burt on solving the litter problem in Adair County. Greer brightened the budget outlook for the county, presenting Adair County Treasurer Melinda Quinn with a check for $250,000 for excess fees generated by her office in 2016 - and told the court that approximately $30,000 is held reserve pending final audits of the previous year. Clerk Greer, former CJE Ann Melton (newly named editor of the - Adair Progress, and perhaps the greatest county solid waste coordinator ever, A.L. Sinclair - were singled out as examples of the kind of leadership which once made Adair County the envy of the state for clean roadsides, by cleanup activist Vicky Pike. - EW
