Adair Co. Fire Dept. announces new addition to fleet

2017-02-10 - Merchant Street, Columbia, KY - Photo Submitted by Donald Hare, Public Information Officer, Columbia/Adair Fire County Fire Department.
A new front line firefighting unit, a 2017 Freightliner 5 man custom cab, replaces the Adair County Fire Department's previous model immediately. Since our last major purchase of remodeling our fire station in 2003, we have been saving funds knowing that we need to replace our aging fleet, We remind everyone that there is no local tax money provided to our department and our only source of income is from our loyal members that pay there fire dues every year to make sure they have the best fire protection around. The Department has already received training on the Freightliner's operation and it is on duty this Friday morning, February 9, 2017. - Donald Hare
