It is amazing that no ballad has been written about them yet. These two trees - Love Oak species, we guess, bowing to more informed botanists - seemingly so intent on holding each other they are oblivious to the changes in their neighborhood, the old Adair County Fairgrounds. Memories, perhaps of looking down on two eighteen-year-olds taking a top-of-the-ferris-wheel-kiss, may have inspired the scene.
