Birds of Kentucky: Cardinal and dove - not quite what it looks like

At first glance, it would appear the shy dove is waiting its turn while the cocky cardinal feeds first. But the whole frame would show two doves happily eating while the cardinal is hesitant to join in; sort of like the cat blue, now the size of a Greyhound bus, who is intimidated by much small cats, and still waits for us to protect his flanks and keep intruder cats away. -EW
