2017-01-19 - Adair County Veterans Memorial Bypass - Photo by Ed Waggener, Columbiamagazine.com(c) .
The new Brown & Brown Call Center, above, next door to Brown & Brown's current office on the Adair County Veterans Memorial Bypass, had an official Columbia/Adair County Chamber of Commerce welcome along with an open house on a Red Letter Day for Economic Development in Adair County. The 5,000 s.f. facility represents a $1.5 million investment in the area economy. Already 10 people have been hired. That number will grow quickly to 25-30 and is expected to grow to 200 in the foreseeable feature, according to Brown & Brown of Kentucky Vice President Mike Neal. - Ed Waggener
