Kindergarteners learn about teamwork in PE class

2016-10-20 - Campbellsville Elementary School, 315 Roberts Road (campus), Campbellsville, KY - Photo by Calen McKinney, Public Information Officer, Campbellsville Independent Schools (CIS).

What fun! Campbellsville Elementary School students recently got some exercise in their physical education class, but also learned about teamwork. In Lynn Kearney's classes, students learned how to work together to hold a large parachute, and then how to work together to make it float in the air. Students formed a circle around the parachute, and held onto it to keep it on the ground. They then worked together to move it up and down. When they got familiar with how to keep the parachute in the air, students took turns running underneath it while it was high in the air. While the students had fun, Kearney also taught them how to listen to instructions, work together as a team and to always help each other. 8. Above, from left, CES kindergarteners Kaiden Bradfield, Mikaylah Flynn and Gage Henderson lift the parachute.
