Yes vote prevails in Campbellsville - City votes to go fully Wet

2016-09-20 - Campbellsville, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener.
Votes are all in at the Taylor County courthouse in Campbellsville, KY and the "yes" vote prevails. Unofficial tally is 1177 yes to 894 no. In the counting room, Pat Keefe, former CKNJ publisher and organizer of the Wet drive, in bright green, was all smiles after the totals were in and the Wet forces won. Other, clockwise, seated, are Taylor County Court Clerk Mark Carney, ColumbiaMagazine.com's Ed Waggener, FM 99.9 The Big Dawg General Manager Larry Smith; John Kessler in red shirt wearing earphones, the voice of the WLVC, Mannsville, KY (that's the call letters and the town The Big Dawg is licensed to) and David Gaddie, a member of the Taylor County Board of Elections, who fed the memory cards into the computer to keep running totals as returns poured in. The total was complete in a little over 35 minutes. The broadcast is a long FM 99.9 tradition. - EW
