Stripes the gentle Zebra a huge hit at HGR Fall Festival 2016

Just because she looks like a horse and smells like a horse does not mean Stripes is a horse. She's a zebra and unlike horses, zebras have never been domesticated in large numbers and are more kin to the donkey. But Stripes does not know that so she's very docile and was a popular attraction at the Homeplace on Green River Fall Heritage Festival Saturday. She and her friends came to the festival to be a part of the petting farm and they were all well-petted. She was joined by a miniature horse, a Brahma bull and other winged and four legged animals. - George Koblenschlag
