Our area's locally grown - in Russell County - Kentucky Commissioner of Tourism Kristen Branscum is the speaking today at the Governor's luncheon for tourism, explains the the 2015 Tourism Revenues in Kentucky, $13.7 BILLION, which, to put in proper perspective that the Agriculture Department gave this morning as a $6 Billion Agriculture industry in Kentucky. The Tourism Commission is marketing Kentucky tourism as "The front porch of the South" for vacations. I agree, especially the water attractions at Lake Cumberland, Dale Hollow, Barren River and Green River Lake. Adair County sits right in the middle, perfectly positioned. - Mike Stephens.
