Harvest time in Coburg II - Pretty bales all in arow

2016-06-24 - Coburg, KY - Photo by Junior Stotts.
Despite all the talk of commercial development in Coburg, KY, agriculture remains dominant in the little community. Yesterday was a major harvest time at the Stotts Farms - the crop was straw, a useful by-product of cereal grain crops - including livestock bedding and as a mulch in landscaping and reseeding operations. The busy Adair County Company uses some of the straw reseeding the paths of newly installed water lines. Over 2000 square bales were put in the barns yesterday. Over 100 big round rolls were baled. In the background above, the American flag waves over the Adair County Water Treatment Plant. Paired photo. See also: Harvest time in Coburg I - Square bales of straw loaded
