Coburg business interests keep close eye on Sunday sales

Melissa Moore and Albert Cundiff listened carefully as Sunday Sales were discussed in last night's Adair Fiscal Court meeting. The first reading for Adair County's Alcoholic Beverage Sales Ordinance does not have Sunday sales, which Moore, the owner of A & M Trading post in Coburg, favors. During the meeting, John Thomas, owner of Anderson's Pizza, addressed the issue, saying he needs Sunday sales for his restaurant. He said he thinks the ABC ordinance for the City of Columbia will include Sunday sales. Thomas said that if the county should, on final reading, omit Sunday sales, he will asked to be annexed into the City, a maneuver also available to any business in the county.
