Lee Ann Jessee is Outstanding Volunteer of the Year

Lee Ann Jessee, center, is the 2016 Columbia/Adair County Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the year. She was introduced by Ellen Zornes, second from right, presenting the award. A special surprise bouquet was presented to Lee Ann by her nephew Will Reynolds, at left, and her youngest niece, Bailey Reynolds, second from left. At right is Sue Stivers, Columbia/Adair County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, presenting the Certificates of Achievement each award winner received from KY State Sen. Max Wise and State Rep. John "Bam" Carney. Ellen Zornes introduced Lee Ann saying, "She doesn't volunteer for money nor awards, she volunteers because she believes in what she's doing toward making the community and the world a better place. She is a graduate of ACHS and Western Kentucky University. She serves on several boards, serves her church by driving the van, writes grants and has won many for the library and for community projects. She serves on the joy ministries board and contributes many hours helping people in need."
