2016-04-15 - Roberta Cranmer Dining Center, 430 Helen Flatt Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener .
Debbie Martin, ARNP at Dr. Giles' office, left, is the 2016 Columbia/Adair County Chamber of Commerce Health Advocate of the year. She was introduced by Dr. Chuck Giles, presenting the award. With them are Ellen Zornes, President of the Chamber; and Sue Stivers, Executive Director. In his introduction Dr. Charles Giles said Debbie Martin is someone he has known for 27 years, first as a nurse at Westlake regional Hospital, then as a nurse practitioner student who worked in his office, then as a colleague at Westlake Primary Care to today as a colleague in his private practice. He said, "she is a thoughtful, deeply caring, very intelligent nurse practitioner, one of the best I've ever worked with. She earned a 4.0 gpa and was in the top four percent in the nation while working full time, raising Three small children and being a loving wife."
