It was a rare, quiet moment for Layla, the official mascot of Green River Animal Shelter during a rare lull in visitation at the shelter. Moments later, she greet us. Moments later, when the door was open, she went outside to show us how much she enjoys the wonderful lawn at the shelter's campus. And moments after this photo was taken she showing her maternal - maybe auntly - instincts as she played with two total adorable puppies and one lost Labtriever who was picked up in the Flatwoods area. We highly recommend you make her acquaintance. - ED & LINDA
