Veteran School Board Member Mike Harris (Div 5) studies a report during the historic Thursday, March 17, 2016 Regular Monthly Session of the Adair County Board of Education which saw what Superintendent Alan W. Reed called the most exciting advance for technology ever in Adair County Schools. Board members approved a landmark personal educational device purchase of iPads and Chromebooks, assuring a 1 device for every two students next year, super fast Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) campus telephone system with 4-digit dialing and as yet to be announced cost savings; and Carla Perkins, Technology Coordinator, asked for an received approval to sell surplus technology equipment for over $70,000.
