Adair Schools take major leap forward in technology

The Adair County Board of Education approved a plan presented by Technology Director Carla Perkins to add a total of 462 Instructional Devices - a combination of 162 iPads and 300 Chromebooks - to bring all schools to a one device for every two students - next year. Following the approval, Perkins said she would begin the process of ordering the devices immediately, so that the devices plus carts for them, will be available for the start of the 2016-2017 school year. The devices will be paid for with escrowed KET funds matched by $60,000. The Total cost if approximately $168,000. The extra $8,000 will be paid for by Technology Department funds, Perkins said.
