Artwinners at Caveland Regional HS Art competition

This past Sunday, March 13, 2016 the KY Art Educators Association presented awards and placements for advancement to the state level completion. Ms. Cayce Davenport member of the KY Art Educators Association and Art Teacher at Adair County High School was present to receive the results from her students regional entries. ACHS competed in the Caveland Region High School Art competition with great results. Three students and their art work advanced to the state level Tara Pierce received first in Mixed Media, Haley Diamond 2nd in Photography, and Elizabeth Spoon 2nd in Ceramics. Not only did these three young ladies advance to state the ACHS Art Department had numerous other winners and Honorable Mentions. Jacob Absher received 3rd place in Mixed Media and 2nd place in Graphic Design, Tyler McKinney received 3rd place in Digital Art, Courtney Keezer received an Honorable Mention in Photography, and Gabe Wilson received 3rd place in Ceramics.
