Homeplace officially designated 'Kentucky's Outdoor Classroom

The Kentucky Senate approved a resolution February 29, 2016, supporting Homeplace on Green River as Kentucky’s Outdoor Classroom. The designation is another step forward for the historic 227 acre farm and will encourage significant opportunity for growth both in programing and funding. Shown following the session are from left: Senator Max Wise; Becky Nash Rowe, former Taylor County Extension Service agent who was instrumental in the initial planning and purchase of Homeplace; Suzanne Ince, events coordinator and Homeplace Board member; Eddie Rogers, Taylor County Judge Executive and member of the Homeplace Board; Michael Stephens, Adair County Judge Executive and member of the Homeplace Board; John Frank, Green County Judge Executive and member of the Homeplace Board; George Kolbenschlag, member of the Homeplace Board Executive Committee; Billy Joe Fudge, Vice President of the Homeplace Board; Senator Given and Representative Bam Carney, representing Adair and Taylor Counties. - George Kolbenschlag, Homeplace on Green River 5807 New Columbia Road (State Highway 55), Campbellsville, KY
