Daffodils in full bloom in Roley

2016-03-05 - Roley, KY - Photo By Linda Waggener.
We were drawn to take pictures of these beautiful roadside Daffodils, and then took a moment to listen to the old Chelf voices across the road from the Roley Cemetery, and from The overgrown steps in the photo at left went up to an old Chelf home once located there and the foundation still waits for someone to build again. The closeup at right looks south toward the crossroads at Knifley, where imaginings of some old Chelf home being tugged from this family epicenter to Knifley, as the Old Coyles did in "Shipping News," is evoked, but that almost certainly never happened. - Ed & Linda.
