Have we been experiencing snow fog?

2016-02-15 - From Goodin Center, 413 Helen Flatt Drive, Lindsey Wilson College, Columbia, KY - Photo by Jackie Montgomery.
Snow Fog!? That was the question about Monday's weather. We woke to a snow white world with up to five inches of snow that stayed on the ground until mid morning. Then it began to rain and the visibility began to fade because of the fog mist that came from rain hitting the snow. This look over Fairground Street from the back of the Goodin Center at Lindsey Wilson College showed how low visibility was. The light is the sign at Extension Office just a couple of blocks away. This area is under a hazardous weather advisory this evening through the morning.
