Troutman home destroyed by fire

Josh Brockman writes, "Columbia - Adair County Volunteer Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire this morning 01-11-16 at 7:31amCT. Upon the arrival, firefighters found that the fire had started at the rear of the home but spread quickly throughout the entire home. Firefighters battled the fire and freezing temperatures for 2 hours, but were unable to save the home. The home, which was owned and occupied by Gene Troutman, was declared a complete loss."
