Trabue House endowment established

2015-11-15 - 201 Jamestown Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener.
The late Jim Blair bequeathed a $75,000 endowment to the City of Columbia for the upkeep and continuation of the Trabue Russell House as a museum at 201 Jamestown Street, Columbia, KY. His only stipulation was that there be at least one event held there each year. The House was saved from destruction in the 70s by the Adair Heritage Association and during the period when Mr. Blair was chairman, the property was deeded to the City with agreement for its maintenance and community usage to be managed by the City. For information about the museum and/or holding meetings there contact the City of Columbia at 270-384-2501. - LW
