New guard dog protects Jr. Stotts: Lu

2015-09-19 - Greater Bliss, Adair County, KKY - Photo by Jr. Stotts. She's only about the size of a yippy lap dog now, but make no mistake about the young lady, she's a Queensland Heeler, and she's a working dog. She's got all the attributes Jr. Stotts could want in a dog. She's fiercely loyal, intelligent and highly trainable, and is still a great pet. Lu already has the pricked ears of the breed, but the Stumpy Tail didn't come naturally - it's only two days old at the this stage, following surgery on Thursday. LU is Stotts' sixth Queensland Healer. Her biggest problem in life now is joining the pack. Resident alpha Queensland Heeler, Lindsey, is very territorial and boots Lu out of the way anytime the pup is closer to the master than she is.
