Curtis Eagle trimotor - assembled by Coleman Campbell

2015-09-07 - 110 East Fortune Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
UPDATE - In a way, a part of Adair County Aviation History: Collector Doug Janes' was conducting an Antique Yard Sale this morning at 110 East Fortune Street, Columbia, KY, with this interesting item for sale. It's an assembled metal model of resembling a Curtiss Eagle trimotor biplane or a Boeing 80. (Not a Spirit of St. Louis, as earlier stated, Gary Rose points out.) The kit came in the box and the plane was assembled by the late Coleman Campbell, who lived in the house at the corner of Fairground Street and McKinley Lane. Among other things offered at the yard sale are: Vintage beer cans, soda bottles, soda crates, wooden crates, milk bottles, medicine bottles, tobacco and coffee tins, old flour sacs, FireKing dishware, primitive items like saws, sand buckets, vintage ladies hats, vehicle manuals and other items. Janes' yard sale is one of two advertised Mon 7 Sep 2015 in CM Yard Sales. - EW
