2015-08-02 - Columbia, KY - Photo from scrapbook now owned by Hixson & Robertson .

Dried plants - hope someone will ID - and cigarette papers for "soft rolls" (as opposed to store bought tight rolls by the single or in a 20 pack of cigarettes of the day) were on one page of the scrapbook. In those days smokes were tobacco only, often from right out of the curing barn. From the scrapbook of Vernon Rodgers, 1934-35, now the prized possession of historians Kevin Robertson and Barry Hixson. - EW
