Old scrapbook from Mr. Hixson & Mr. Robertson: From 1934-35

2015-08-02 - Columbia, KY - Photo from scrapbook now owned by Hixson & Robertson .
Kevin Robertson and friend Barry Hixson bought a fascinating scrapbook with this cover and "Vernon Rodgers Book. School Year 1934-1935 on the title page. CM will be posting a number of the 27 pages photographed on Friday afternoon, July 31, 2015. Kevin Robertson is a civics teacher at Adair County High School, and Barry Robertson, the Little Debbie Distributor in this area, shares his love of history. They bought the scrapbook at an auction recently and want to share its contents with others in the area. At a later point, we'll post an unbrella paragraph with a link to all the photos. And with this page, perhaps someone will send comments on Vernon Rodgers. Most of the clippings are from the Hill of Lindsey Wilson. One, however, is of a commencement for "Columbia High School and Adair County High School," some 20 years before there the schools were consolidated to establish Adair County High School, at it's first location on Greensburg Street, at the building whose address is non 322 Gen. John Adair Drive. - ED WAGGENER
