For Irene Nell's 100th Birthday: Photo of Nell's Variety

This photo comes as a gift to Irene Miller Nell on the occasion of her 100th birthday celebration. the photo was made before Nell's Variety Store closed so it would probably have been taken in the late 1960s. The store was everything a variety store should be and the type store that is missed so much on the public square today. First National Bank, at left, is now First and Farmers and takes up both these building spaces plus the one that housed the Adair County News to the right of Nell's when Peggy Fudge's mom was publisher. - LW
