Stream Straightening Project: Stage of Completion 16 Jul 2015

Blacktopping is in progress on the new intersection. This photo was taken at around 11:30amCT, this morning, 16 Jul 2015, from the Columbia, KY City Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street. The project is designed to make travel safer, quicker, and the enhance the aesthetics of this very important street. As well, it is designed to keep Town Creek from overflowing Campbellsville Street; a wing wall should also prevent flooding on the south side of Fairground Street. And a new drainage system will carry water from the NE Corner of the interchange under Campbellsville Street to a widened waterway on the SE side. - EW
