Beautiful Tiger Lillies at Mile Marker 25 on KY 768

2015-07-14 - Mile Marker 25, KY 768 near Glens Fork, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, CM.
Tiger Lillies are the stunners in the flower world at this time. These are the old fashioned kind - the tall ones which lean a bit to a lot - and bring back memories of gardens from many decades ago, especially those by the basket weave fence which separated the Jim Beard place on Jamestown Street (think Jeffries Electric Showroom today) and the Russell Miller Place (think world headquarters of United Citizens Bank today). This photo is an outtake of the 8-10' diameter bed which made us do something we occasionally are compelled to do - turn around and go back for picture. - LW/EW Oh, and by the way, Mile Marker 25 KY 768, means you are 25 miles from the roads beginning at KY 61 and Milltown Road, and just four miles from KY 768's terminus, at KY 92. Great sandwich for a picnic noon hour day trip to know-your-county-better tour.
