Junior Holmes, Center took Barry and Phil Bertram on a ride in a horse drawn wagon around the area of Holmes Bend Boat Dock. The Bertrams remember visiting the area on Green River back when it was free when Holmes Bend was known as Fishers Ford, and when the Bertram's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Risen, owned a farm which adjoined what is now Holmes Bend Marina. - GEORGE RICE.
