Pillowy clouds over Silo, Marrying Barn, Theatre site, Homeplace

2015-06-27 - Homeplace on Green River, 5807 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. These are beautiful clouds, though not peak enough to match the beautiful clouds George Kolbenschlag has been celebrating. But they do make a nice backdrop for this scene at Homeplace on Green River, aka, "Kentucky's Outdoor Classroom." The scene includes the monumental feed silo, and, on the left, Homeplace's "Marrying Barn," available for a break-even cost of $100; and, on the right part of the feeding barn which Mr. Kolbenschlag says is being considered for adaptive repurposing as an amphitheatre. Homeplace on Green River will be the site of the formal inauguration of the five-mile Tebbs Bend-Green River trail system, at 9amCT/10amET, on Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Mr. Kolbenschlag, who is a twice "retired" into the busiest time of his life, is a retired U.S. Navy Commander and was Vice President for Development and Asistant Professor, and has travelled over many parts of the world, says that of all the places he's ever been, South Central Kentucky is the prettiest. CM thanks him for his Celebration of Cloudtimes. - EW
