Stream Straightening Project : Smaller Culvert

2015-06-27 - Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY - Photo CM staff photo.
The full length of the smaller of two culverts installed to prevent erosion and flooding on Campbellsville Street, part of the Stream Straightening Project at the intersection of Fairground Street and Campbellsville Street. Here the culvert extends from near the old Columbia Tire Company across Campbellsville Street, to join Town Creek between the Columbia Cemetery and Harper Auto Sales at 407 Campbellsville Street, Columbia. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, District 8, Somerset, KY, has estimated completion by July 8, 2015, even though change orders along the way, including turning lanes and a new wing wall to prevent flooding at Curry Floor Covering has been added during the course of the project.
