Remembering Edgar Holmes: Heaven has gained truest of angels

2015-06-25 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Diana Long.
A true hero, warrior, and friend who was considered more like family. The memories are many and the times we shared together are priceless. The everyday phone calls and the everyday visits will be missed so much. The many stories you shared about your prayer rock, the times you spent as a mechanic ,the times you spent serving our country, the ordeals you went thru; the love for your wife the times she promised to wait for your return home from the service and the final wait is now over for you have joined her in Heaven; all these stories are forever embedded in my mind and heart.

Edgar never spoke a bad word of anyone. He was a pure treasure and touched many lives even those who never met him were touched by his stories and the talented gift of his handmade puzzles and crosses. What a cherished memory these fine pieces of wood are now. I am so thankful for the years that I have known him and the many many wonderful memories I have of time spent with him.

Rest in peace, Edgar. Heaven has gained the truest of Angels and you will soar high above all others. - Diana Long
