Ricky Roy requests funds from payroll tax for JBC air

Ricky Roy, Director of the Jim Blair Center, came before City Council on Monday evening, 1 Jun 2015, to request funds from the Payroll Tax to help pay for a near $60,000 installation of a Heating & Air System for the Jim Blair Center. No action was taken at the meeting. The City is still wrestling with a very tight 2014-2015 Fiscal Year which, they say, will be narrowly balanced. Clockwise, at the council desks, are Council Members Ron Rogers, Charles Grimsley, and Mark D. Harris; City Clerk Rhonda Loy, Mayor Curtis Hardwick, City Attorney Marshall Loy; and Council Members Craig Dean, Linda Waggener, and Craig Lasley. - EW
