Wants help saving endangered plant at Jim Blair: Matalea

2015-05-20 - Jim Blair Center, 901 Hudson Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Alicia Bosela. My wish is to remind folks that there is a state-endangered plant, matalea at Jim Blair Community Center, that our Natural Heritage is rich but needs to be recognized. The photo is from a plant that got weed-wacked this spring, but may come back. I believe it to be elsewhere on the property. This plant can host the monarch butterfly and so is important in supporting their recovery.
