Gubernatorial Candidate Jamie Comer with Deputy CJE Grimsley

2015-05-18 - Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo submitted by Holly Grimsley, Deputy CJE, Adair County, KY.
Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Jamie Comer made a last campaign stop in Columbia late this afternoon, and paused for a photo with Adair County Deputy CJE Holly Grimsley. Adair County Judge Executive Mike Stephens compared the visit to Rand Paul's visit on election eve when Paul defeated Jack Conway in the general election in the U.S. Senate race. Should Comer win tomorrow, he almost certainly will face Conway in the fall. Judge Stephens said that his contacts in Frankfort say that Conway is "scared to death of Jamie Comer," hinting - but not saying, that Conway might be facing a case of deja vu, in the fall. Comer faces fast-rising Matt Bevin, early favorite Hal Heiner, and Judge Will T. Scott.
