They're quite eyecatching, these relatively large blossoms - periwinkle or myrtle or vinca - growing along an urban country lane, Waterworks Street in Columbia, KY. This bloom was spotted across the road from the old Columbia Waterworks plant, soon to be razed by new owners Columbia Adair County Utilities to make way for a Trail Towns, USA, Paddle Trail park. Some work is already underway by Pyles Excavating Company. - CM
