Councillor Craig Lasley had a good night at City Council, Monday night, with the passage of the Abandoned Urban Property tax ordinance he advocated and gave a second to to motion to approve. The motion received unanimous approval. Above, he talked with Chief Jason Cross following the session. In the background, from left, City Attorney Marshall Loy, Councillor Craig Dean, and Councillor Linda Waggener, showing disappointment that she was unable to get the Council to act on her request to restore and extend the lease agreement with the Adair County Fire Department and to start negotiations for any changes following that move to reduce tensions between the Fire Department and City Hall. - EW
