Blue Ribbons at Historic Courthouse reminder of Child Abuse

Blue Ribbons in this tree and blue pinwheels around the Historic Adair County Courthouse, 500 Public Square, and at many other localities in Columbia are reminders of documented cases of child abuse in Adair County. Amy Price writes: "Lake Cumberland Children's Advocacy Center covers ten counties that include Adair, Casey, Green, Clinton, Cumberland, McCreary, Wayne, Pulaski, Taylor, and Russell County. We provide a child-friendly center for children who have been sexually and physically abused. If you would like to learn more about child abuse prevention, to volunteer, or to make a donation please call 270-343-6922. We would like to give a special thanks to everyone that made the Ribbon Trees a huge success. - Amy Price
