2015-03-24 - Green River Animal Shelter, 155 Appleby Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener .
Amber Turner, left, and LaDonna Froedge, held two adorable black puppies which had just arrived at Green River Animal Shelter this afternoon, Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Director Kim Sallee said the the puppies might be available for adoption as early as tomorrow, Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Amber was on the phone immediately negotiating for family agreement on Lizzie, the shelter name of the pup. LaDonna, right, is holding "Ollie." The puppies were part of an all female litter of six 5.5 week old dogs. Five are solid black, one white as snow. Both Amber and LaDonna will graduate from Adair County High School in June, Amber with 56 college hours; LaDonna with 48.
