Adair School Board approves school bus garage plan

2015-02-24 - 1204 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
Gabe Jones, architect with Sherman-Barnhardt-Carter, Architects, present the schematic for the proposed Adair County School District Bus Garage. The drawing shows an option in the upper right hand corner for a new maintenance building, which would replace the present one at 350 Indian Drive, but the inclusion of that building at this time would exceed the District's present bonding capacity. "So," Supt. Alan Reed said," it is not likely at the time." Still he said, It will be part of the total plan forwarded to the Kentucky Department of Education Buildings and Grounds for approval. When the new Maintenance Building is constructed, the 350 building would be converted to house baseball after the present bus garage is torn down, Superintendent Reed said. The board voted unanimously to approve the Adair County Bus Garage. The photo was taken at the Mon 23 Feb 2015 Special Regular Meeting of the Adair County Board of Education.
