Road, sidewalk clearance good but a bit spotty

Main Roads, like the KY State Highway cleared Burkesville Street, KY 61 were in excellent condition this morning when this photo was taken. Accolades have been coming in for road crews during the storm. So far, there have been no complaints received at CM about any of the clearance work done by the State, Adair County, or the City of Columbia. Sidewalks seem to be another matter. Much of the work done clearing sidewalks was by adjacent land owners, as was done in front of Stotts Construction, above, with a cleared walkway, while beyond, a area linking the sidewalk to Sav-a-lot is covered in two feet of snow. Barry Stotts cleaned a stretch of Fortune Street the City Crew missed, meriting a Grover Award.
