Campbellsville bound semi clips lamp post on Columbia Square

Columbia City Police were protecting the area around a lamppost which was clipped at its base by a Campbellsville bound semi at around 9pmCT, Wed 14 Jan 2015. Ofc. Jordan Dean said that the policeman will limit traffic near the scene until a technician from KU arrives to make repairs. the lamp standard is held in place only by electrical lines. There is a concern that if the support gave way it would almost certainly take out other lamp posts. The photo was taken at around 10pmCT. - EW
