Epicurean Kentuckian: Salad Bar a hit at Harvest Cafe

2015-01-11 - Harvest Cafe, 212 Public Square, Columbia, kY - Photo CM staff photo.
After a full year of operation under the current management, and several directional changes, Harvest Inn has found a solid niche, offering immediate meals with its soup, and built to taste all you can eat salad bar, along with three minute service on custom made sandwiches. It seems to be one of the things Downtown Columbia was wanting all along. Owner Steve Chundy is very optimistic about 2015. The Downtown Dining scene is already looking good for the coming year. A Mexican restaurant is being readied for opening in a matter of days or weeks, and the anchor restaurant, Moore's Poolroom & lunch is thriving as never before. Who knows? Maybe this is the year for Columbia to get that top floor private club, like the Pendennis, a banquet/theatre/reunion hall on the second floor of the courthouse, that Korean restaurant we're all wanting. That's all CM has on its wish list. Maybe someone else has better ideas for this promising year. - CM
