History Mystery Picture: Monument to memories

2014-12-25 - ?????, South Central Kentucky - Photo Pulled from CM raw files.
YOU WRITE THE CUTLINE.It's a monument to memories. Every cinder block remaining of this once grand gathering place could signify thousands of memories: Of athletic skills learned, of falls & bruises and maybe of fractured bones. For sure, romances and later marriages and families grew from meetings here. Many possibly remember the food served here. The photo from the raw files cropped up because of its Christmasy look: The live cedar Christmas tree, the mistletoe and the standing red cinderblock corner. The winning cutline can be factual or fictional - all one or the other, as in the late Steve Aaron's wisdom on gender preference: Pick one and stick with it.. If factual, a hint: This monument stands a few away from a historic and nomadic little building which once stood at the lowest elevation in its county.
