50th Anniversary Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans!

2014-12-09 - Main Street, Campbellsville, KY - Photo By Larry Smith.
The "50th Anniversary WELCOME HOME, Vietnam Vets" banner is suspended over Main Street in Campbellsville, KY, in readiness for the Sunday, December 14, 2014, long overdue tribute to these Veterans. The idea of he event has really caught fire. Latest to commit - an important one to the day, is Taylor County School Superintendent Roger Cook, who told me that the Taylor County High School Brass Ensemble will perform for the veterans, and will set up in the Druthers Parking lot on the NW corner of Main Street and Columbia Avenue. Other area bands are expected, and welcome. Call me at 270-789-0099 at the Big Dawg, 99.9 FM, if you or your organization should wish to participate. Other members of the committee can be contacted as well: Mayor Tony Young, Taylor Co. CJE Eddie Rogers, Rep. Bam Carney, and former Taylor County Rescue Director Charlie Shaw. - LARRY SMITH, Operations Manager, Shoreline Communications.
