Board hears how they did it: Shelbi Cheatham, Tyler Moore

2014-11-21 - Adair County School District - Photo by Shamarie Claiborne.
Fast rising stars Shelbi Cheatham, left, and Tyler Moore, left, right photo, being congratulated by Supt. Alan W Reed, in photos above taken earlier by Shamarie Claiborne, spoke to the Adair County Board of Education last night, Thu 20 Nov 2014, about how they are accomplishing their goals. Shelbi Cheatham will be able to enter Lindsey Wilson as a junior, and as a student in their 4 year nursing program, needing only three years to accomplish that goal, thanks to LWC and Indian University. Cheatham said she'll also be on track to earn a Nurse Practioner Degree, her dream accomplishment. Tyler Moore told the board how he applied for a coveted apprenticeship at Dr. Schneider in Russell Springs, KY, and was one of two out of 44 applicants to land the award. As he works four hours a day at the plant he's also adding credit for his career path in welding.
